Detailed Description
Service records indicate this F-86 was manufactured by Canadair and delivered to U.K. RAF under designation CL-13A Mk.4 around the year 1950. In 1954 RAF transferred the plane to the Italian Air Force to 2a Aerobrigata Caccia Intercettori at Cameri (NO) and it became known as F-86E. In January of 1964 it was sold to our school in Udine, Italia.
The plane is equipped with a General Electric J-47-GE-13 turbojet engine. This E-model featured an improved flight control and an "all-flying tail".
This F-86 is said to be very complete except radio, IFF, radar and armaments; it is sold as is, a non-operation and unrestored example. It is currently painted in the aerobatic team "Frecce Tricolori" colors.
